Story Behind the Story:
- Mariah and JC are both mostly based upon my life and my struggles with morality.
- The Story was written 3 years ago and started out as a short story but I wanted to make it more deep and give it layers.
- This is Part 1 of a 3 Story series I developed recently. "You Ruined Me For Life."
- Story takes place in 1999.
- Alternate Universe means the story doesn't center around JC as part of Nsync. JC is just a regular Joe.
- Darla (Mariah's mom) is harshly based on

- I picked the name Mariah because it just seemed like one of those names that not a lot people seem to cherish. There's a lot of hidden meanings in it for me but one that comes clear is anonymity.
The character, like her name, is very isolated.
- Most of my life experiences are in this story, I feel its my most personal yet.
- My writing style is based upon not just my thoughts but passages from my journal and diary entries, hense the personal label.
- When I was 16, I wrote a poem entitled "Crazy World", this was inspiration for the title of this story.
- Writing this story has been very theraputic for me and I believe has saved my life more than once.
- Bobbie is based upon a girl I knew of in high school, I'm sure most will be able to relate to her.
- I chose Jessica Simpson at her earliest years because (she's a prettier version of me lol) I believe she represents someone in my world who is beautiful yet unassuming.
- I chose writing in duel-part first person POVs because I believe it gives the characters a more rounded idea of who they are. Initially, it was a narrative.
- The story has come to mean a great deal to me and in my life. I hope you enjoy reading!
